More Work Fashion

Today, I had an interview with a major corporation for a summer internship. Although the position is less than thrilling, I wanted to at least get to the interview if I was able to make it that far in the hiring process. I was not sure what to wear there; with major companies, sometimes its pant suits and nothing else, while others can be a touch more casual. I went the in-between route and wore darker colors, but added the strip blazer since it was a bit chilly outside.

ABW Challenge: Day 50

Only two more weeks to go!
Day 50
This is the same top I wore with jeggings on Day 16, but with a new twist. I paired it with leggings and wore it as a tunic top and put it with a black waist belt. It looks nearly like a modern version of a kimono. I love how it turned out. It was very comfortable to wear and something different from the usual sweaters and cardis I wear when it is chilly out.

On Monday, its going to be 75 degrees! I'm so excited that I'm not even sure what I am going to wear yet! I'm sure it will be a skirt I haven't been able to wear yet, or possible be another backless top... or both? We'll see!

ABW Challenge: Day 48

 Day 48

Originally, I had a nice spring outfit planned out for the day: a little sundress and my blazer from H&M. Checking the weather this early afternoon, though, I found that it was actually 44 degrees rather than the predicted 65. Even though I knew the temperature was surely going to rise, I decided against going bare legged and instead put on some tights and a body con with a ruffle blouse. To spice the outfit up (just a tad), I went with putting a skinny white waist belt and a cute little pink bow headband. Even though its pretty dark for spring, I think the flowers at least give it some life.

ABW Challenge: Day 47

Day 47

Did not have class yesterday (Wednesday), but today, I finally got to wear a short skirt without tights! This outfit is a slight variation of Day 1, minus the combat boots, jegs, and pearls. This skirt and the tank were made for each other, so it makes sense that they look so awesome together. Thank you, Zara! Of course, the boyfriend blazer just adds some laid back class to the outfit.

ABW Challenge: Day 46

Day 46

This little ditty was put together just so I could wear that great cut out top again. Until it gets a bit warmer, I'm planning on taking full advantage of button up and cardigan combos. Spring, where are you?!

I also did another variation of the voluminous bun I so adore. This one was done in about five minutes, and came out prettier and bigger than ever. I love when hair is effortless!

ABW Challenge: Day 37

Day 37

After a week of for spring break -where the most interesting fashion piece I wore was my work uniform -it's time to get the last out of my fall/winter wardrobe. With the unpredictable weather that I live in, spring could start any day now... or be delayed another month!

Today, I went with simplicity with class. It was inspired by my new glasses, which of course I forgot to put a pic of me wearing. Hopefully, you'll be able to see them by the end of the week. By now, you know I love my long beaded pearl strand. It looked great with the boatneck cable knit I paired previously with my blue and white jacket. This time, I put my bodycon and tights together with the oxfords. Originally, I was going to wear some ankle booties with it, but because I was running late for work, I nixed the heels.

ABW Challenge: Day 9

Day 9

I kicked off week 3 with one of my favorite finds from TJ Maxx. As you may have figured out from the shopping lists at the end of the entries, I frequent the store quite a bit. It is within walking distance of my campus (a 16 minute walk, but do able nonetheless), and the closest place to get decently priced clothes without going out to the mall.

I love this sweater, mostly because of the unique and eye-catching print. I was happy to say the least that my prediction of graphic sweaters becoming a trend did actually come true, and made sure that this sweater was on trend for fall and winter. The sweater has a great tunic length that can make pairing it with leggings doable. Of course, I had to pair it with my lovely oxfords!

Waterfall braids -although not revolutionary- are my new favorite things. This tutorial is straight forward and helped me get the 'do right!
