ABW Challenge: Day 44

Day 44

I went with wearing my peplum top today, seeing as how I probably only have a few more occasions to wear this and still be weather appropriate. Nearly got to 50 today! I went with pairing the outfit with my black seashell necklace and a skinny white belt that came with the top.

Also, I was pretty happy that my day old curls were still in tact. Saved a lot of time for me this morning!

ABW Challenge: Day 43

Day 43
Gasp! Is that bare leg?!

Sort of felt bare without wearing my tights today, but it just looked weird with the lighter top from F21. As usual, the skirt was a hit, although I do wish I had time to iron it.

ABW Challenge: Day 42

 Day 42

Today was my fun outfit. I have been saving this top to wear for while, and although it was still a bit chilly outside, I decided to wear it. The long sleeves make it weather appropriate while the mint color is very much in the tune of the spring season. Because the top and bottom are solid and plain in the front, I decided to add the pear necklace to give it some texture.

Pinspiration!

A majority of this outfit was made using pictures from Pinterest.

I got this backless top from Pink by Victoria's Secret. It is normally $24.50, but it was on sale for $15. You know how I am with a good deal like that! I also got the bralette at VS awhie a go, but have not used it yet. I love how pretty it is in the back! I also like that it has some lining in the front so I feel more comfortable wearing it.

I was originally hesitant about trying this hairstyle out. My hair isn't that long, and I thought it may look weird. But I went for it anyways. This "Lace Braid" as it is called, came out pretty. For some of my hair that wouldn't reach around to the ponytail, I attached the flower clip in order to keep it in.

ABW Challenge: Day 41

Day 41

You guys, it almost got up to 40 degrees today! Well, not including the windchill... but still! You can see in the picture on the right that there is actual sunlight. I'm usually one that absolutely loves winter, but fashion wise, spring is just a more fun season to get dressed in, wouldn't you say?

I found this lovely "some shade between coral and tangerine" blazer at Marshall's for $20 on my last expenditure. I was pretty much wasting time at the mall before an appointment I had and also had to get stuff for a birthday. These impulsive trips become an issue for me because I usually spend an outrageous amount of money. I justified most of the purchases as being for some internship interviews that I hopefully *cross my fingers* will be getting to soon. I also got a gorgeous mint blouse to pair with it, but I will save that for another day!

I put the new blazer together with my Rainbow Brite shift top and my pretty bow shoes from F21. I also put on my peter pan collar necklace to add some sparkle to the outfit.

Tomorrow, I want to do something different with my hair. But what to do... Pinterest, here I come!

ABW Challenge: Day 40

Day 40
Getting the last out of the dark colors this week before I start bringing out the big guns for spring! Even though its technically the spring season, upstate NY hasn't exactly gotten the memo; its still ridiculously cold out, and I'm sure it will stay that way for awhile. Luckily, with my campus having tunnels, it will hopefully make dressing for spring easier, even if it is actually chillier outside.

[However, I refuse to wear sandals if there is any snow on the ground. That's just.. weird.]

Simplistic outfit. Paired a lightweight summer tee with my knife pleated skirt from F21. Even though I absolutely love the skirt, unfortunately, the elastic seems to be getting looser. Might have to break out my mom's new sewing machine one of these days in order to mend the issue since I'm not ready to put this away!

ABW Challenge: Day 39

Day 39

I have had this pretty floral tank for a while now, and still love it! It works great with the outfit because of its neutral coloring (creme, black, grey). I paired the outfit with the seashell beaded necklace to give it that special wow factor.

Day 38

Today, I got to wear my glasses AND my heeled booties! I paired my leopard print skirt from Week 1 with a white sheer button up and the peter pan collar necklace. I loved that the outfit came together so nicely. And I especially loved how long my legs looked with the mini skirt and the heeled boots! I have a long torso, so putting the a circle hem skirt to my waist and heels on have been the go to ways to give my legs some length and shorten my torso.

ABW Challenge: Day 37

Day 37

After a week of for spring break -where the most interesting fashion piece I wore was my work uniform -it's time to get the last out of my fall/winter wardrobe. With the unpredictable weather that I live in, spring could start any day now... or be delayed another month!

Today, I went with simplicity with class. It was inspired by my new glasses, which of course I forgot to put a pic of me wearing. Hopefully, you'll be able to see them by the end of the week. By now, you know I love my long beaded pearl strand. It looked great with the boatneck cable knit I paired previously with my blue and white jacket. This time, I put my bodycon and tights together with the oxfords. Originally, I was going to wear some ankle booties with it, but because I was running late for work, I nixed the heels.

Style Deals: Pink by VS

                                                                                                        Source:  via Noelle on Pinterest

Don't you love seeing a great fashion piece... and realizing you already own it?! I saw this pic on Pinterest and immediately loved the top and bralette. Just before I repinned it, I realized I just purchased both the top AND the bralette just this week, both from Pink by Victoria's Secret.

I originally bought the bralette for spring to go with some of tank tops. The lace gives it a pretty touch and the white color can be paired with many different tops this season.

I bought the backless long sleeve tee (usually 2/$40, but local store had it marked down to $15) in order to score a deal at Victoria's Secret with the Secret Reward Card deal going on this month. In case you haven't heard, if you spend $10 or more at the store, you receive a gift card to use the next month that can be good anywhere from $10 to $500! Originally, I never really took advantage of the deal. I mean, really, what are the chances of getting more than the minimum? That was up until last year when my card got me $100 worth of VS merch! Ever since then, I've been hooked!

My recommendation: If you're a frequent VS shopper like myself, now is the time to get the most out of your money and spend, spend, spend!

ABW Challenge: Day 36

Day 36

Fun and dressy outfit today. I paired a pullover sweater from The Gap with a plaid pencil skirt and high boots. The pearls gave it even more class. Because I didn't have enough time to do anything remarkable with my hair, I added a bow headband for fun.

ABW Challenge: Day 35

Day 35

I adore this sweater, courtesy of my mother whose wardrobe I raided. It super comfortable, but paired with the body con and tights, prevents it from being too casual. The all black gives it a nice polished look, accenting the geo print on the open sweater.

I picked up the tank during one of Victoria's Secret's semi-annual sales. Seriously, when that place has sales or Secret Rewards going on (like now!), I usually go a bit crazy. Last season, however, I had a good strategy: I only bought what I wanted at the very beginning of the sale. That way, I was more likely to spot great deals in my sizes as opposed to waiting at the end when the only things left are ugly panties in size XS.  I love this tank because it transitions well from my modern dance class to everyday when paired with the open sweater. Once the weather gets warmer, I'm sure I will be pairing it with come bright skirts and body cons!

Day 34

I love this sheer lace shirt from Forever 21. The peter pan collar and front tie gives the top a classy touch. I paired the black and white top with bright blue jeggings to give it a dose of color.

ABW Challenge: Day 33

Day 33

This is a pretty summer dress that I paired with a long sleeved tee shirt and leggings. Ideally, I would have put a black or hot pink fitted blazer, but I thought the tee shirt at least made it weather appropriate for the 20 degree weather outside. This was a very comfortable outfit; the shift is nice and relaxed and easy to move in.  After my dance class, all I had to do was throw on the shift to get ready for my next class.
